3-Digit Addition

Additions and subtractions are the first mathematical operations that boys and girls learn in school, beginning their learning at the stage of Preschool Education practicing with the numbers from 0 to 10.

Students begin with addition by understanding both the process of adding and counting forward on the number line.

Furthermore, they learn to interpret the meaning of the addition signs (+ e =), they know their elements (addends and result) and the position that occupy the figures according to their positional value to facilitate their resolution (either by horizontal or vertical sums).

Throughout the initial courses of Elementary School, sums with and without regrouping are introduced, as well as word problems solving and mental math.

In 2nd Grade of Elementary Education the additions with whole numbers from 0 to 999 (or from 0 to 1,000) are practiced.

"The competitive advantage of a society will not come from how well multiplication and periodic tables are taught in their schools, but from how well they know how to stimulate imagination and creativity"
